To form a surface of a thermoplastic film with a nonwoven fabric-like pattern, a mold is provided with a nonwoven fabric-like layer composed of many individual metal fibers intertwined at random and a previously heat-softened thermoplastic film is conformed to a pattern carrying the surface of the nonwoven fabric-like layer under a vacuum effect by a vacuum pump or a squeezing effect by a squeezing roll.

La présente invention a pour objet un moule utilisé pour former un motif destiné à donner à un film thermoplastique l'apparence d'un textile non tissé; le moule en question est revêtu d'une couche imitant un motif de textile non tissé, laquelle est constituée d'une pluralité de fibres de métal entrelacées de manière aléatoire. Le motif de textile non tissé de la couche de revêtement appliquée sur le moule est transféré au film thermoplastique préchauffé par l'effet d'aspiration d'une pompe à vide ou par pressage au moyen d'un rouleau presseur.
