The invention concerns a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing C hepatitis (HCV), induced infections, which in a preferred embodiment, comprises as main active principle, (i) a fusion polypeptide, including the HCV capsid polypeptide (C191) and polypeptide coat (E1) and in which at least one cleavage site 173/174 and 191/192 has been made inoperative by mutation; (ii) an equimolar mixture of the C191 polypeptide of which the cleavage site 173/174 has been made inoperative and of the E1 polypeptide (mixture equivalent to the fusion polypeptide); or (iii) a DNA molecule coding for this fusion polypeptide. Products (i) to (iii) are characterised in that the C191 element is incapable of regulating the functioning of the genes, in particular of causing them to interact. Such a composition can also include any form equivalent to the products described above.
La présente invention a pour objet une composition pharmaceutique destinée au traitement ou à la prévention des infections induites par le virus de l'hépatite C (HCV) qui, selon un mode préféré, comprend à titre de principe actif: (i) un polypeptide de fusion comprenant le polypeptide de capside (C191) et le polypeptide d'enveloppe (E1) du HCV et dans lequel au moins un des sites de clivage 173/174 et 191/192 a été rendu inopérant par mutation; (ii) un mélange équimolaire du polypeptide C191 dont le site de clivage 173/174 a été rendu inopérant et du polypeptide E1 (mélange équivalent au polypeptide de fusion); ou (iii) une molécule d'ADN codant pour ce polypeptide de fusion. L'intérêt des produits (i) à (iii) réside en ce que l'élément C191 est incapable de réguler le fonctionnement des gènes, en particulier de les transactiver. Une composition selon l'invention peut également comprendre toute forme équivalente aux produits décrits ci-dessus.
