A process for laser welding objects formed from compositions comprising nucleated poly(ethylene terephthalate) homopolymer and/or copolymers. The nucleating agents used absorb no more than 7% of their weight in water and the compositions have crystallization half times of less than 20 minutes at 105 ~C.
