Disclosed herein are novel methods for reducing or preventing the harmful effects of solar radiation on skin. Also disclosed are novel sunscreen compositions comprising 3-[2-(4diethylaminophenyl)-2-oxoethyl]thiazolium salt for reducing or preventing the harmful effects of solar radiation on skin. Agents that provide UV-A and UV-B filters are also included. The invention further discloses additional sunscreen active agents, emollients, humectants, dry-feel modifiers, waterproofing agents, insect repellants, antimicrobial preservatives, antioxidants, chelating agents, fragrances and moisturizers, suitable carriers for topical application and emulsions.
La présente invention a trait à de nouveaux procédés permettant la réduction et la prévention des effets nuisibles du rayonnement solaire sur la peau. L'invention a trait également à de nouvelles compositions antisolaires comportant un sel de 3-[2-(4diéthylaminophényl)-2-oxoéthyl]thiazolium permettant la réduction ou la prévention des effets nuisibles du rayonnement solaire sur la peau. L'invention a trait en outre à des agents qui réalisent des filtres UV-A et UV-B. Enfin, l'invention a trait à des agents antisolaires additionnels actifs, des émollients, des humectants, des agents modificateurs de sensation de peau sèche, des agents imperméabilisants, des insectifuges, des agents de conservation antimicrobiens, des antioxydants, des agents complexants, des parfums et des hydratants, des supports aptes à l'application topique et des émulsions.
