A cushion made of resilient polymer is a push fit onto the edge or corner of a sheet of glass or other sheet material susceptible to chipping. The cushion is of modified U-section having a shock absorbing bed and upstanding legs which define a sheet receiving slot. The legs diverge when the sheet is inserted and exert a gripping force sufficient to retain the cushion when the sheet is carried.

L'invention concerne un coussin fait d'un polymère élastique, monté par ajustement légèrement dur sur la bordure ou le coin d'une feuille de verre ou autre matériau en feuille pouvant s'ébrécher. Le coussin présente une section en U modifiée munie d'un lit absorbant les impacts et de jambes dressées qui définissent une fente de réception de feuille. Les jambes divergent lorsque la feuille est introduite, et exercent une force de serrage suffisante pour retenir le coussin pendant le transport de la feuille.
