In one of its aspects, the present invention relates to foamed isocyanate- based polymer derived from a reaction mix-ture comprising an isocyanate, an active hydrogen-containing compound, a dendritic macromolecule and a blowing agent; wherein at least a 15 % by weight of the dendritic macromolecule may be mixed with a polyether polyol having an OH number less than about 40 mg KOH/g to form a stable liquid at 23 °C. The dendritic macromolecule confers advantageous load building characteristics to the foamed isocyanate-based polymer and may be used to partially or fully displace the use of conventional copolymer polyols used. A process for production of a foam isocyanate-based polymer and a process for conferring loading building properties to a foamed isocyanate-based polymer are also described.
Dans un de ses aspects, l'invention concerne une mousse de polymère à base d'isocyanate obtenue à partir d'un mélange réactionnel contenant un isocyanate, un composé contenant de l'hydrogène actif, une macromolécule dendritique et un agent soufflant. Au moins 15 % en poids de la macromolécule dendritique peut être mélangée à un polyol de polyéther possédant un nombre OH inférieur à 40 mg KOH/g afin d'obtenir un liquide stable à 23 DEG C. Cette macromolécule dendritique confère des caractéristiques avantageuses de constitution de charge à cette mousse de polymère à base d'isocyanate et peut être utilisée afin de remplacer en totalité ou en partie les polyols de copolymère utilisés de façon classique. Elle concerne également un procédé servant à préparer cette mousse de polymère à base d'isocyanate et un procédé servant à conférer des propriétés de constitution de charge à cette mousse de polymère à base d'isocyanate.
