A borehole reamer has a tubular body and more than one cutting element extending from an outer surface of the tubular body. The cutting elements comprise a first cutting profile and a second cutting profile radially offset from and axially adjacent to the first cutting profile. Each of the first and second cutting profile vary in height from the outer surface of the tubular body, with the first cutting profile being different from the second cutting profile.
