The present invention relates to an innovative cooling pin (74) for cooling molded articles (410), a system which incorporates same, and a method for cooling a molded article which utilizes the cooling pin. The cooling pin (74) of the present invention has a central pin structure (400) with a head portion (402), a cooling fluid channel (404) within the central pin structure terminating in an outlet (406) in the head portion, and a plurality of fins (412) positioned along the length of the central pin structure. Adjacent ones of the fins are preferably separated by a spacer (414). Each of the fins are preferably formed from a flexible material such as a flexible plastic material. The fins force and maintain cooling fluid introduced into the interior of the molded article in close proximity to the interior surfaces of the molded article (410).
L'invention concerne une nouvelle tige de refroidissement conçue pour refroidir des articles moulés. Elle concerne également un système associé et un procédé de refroidissement d'articles moulés utilisant ladite tige de refroidissement, laquelle tige présente une structure centrale avec une partie tête, un canal de fluide de refroidissement à l'intérieur de ladite structure débouchant sur une sortie dans ladite partie tête, ainsi qu'une pluralité d'ailettes placées sur la longueur de ladite structure. Les ailettes contiguës sont, de préférence, séparées par un séparateur. Chaque ailette est, de préférence, à base d'un matériau souple, par exemple en matière plastique souple. Les ailettes forcent et maintiennent le fluide de refroidissement introduit à l'intérieur de l'article moulé à proximité immédiate des surfaces internes dudit article.
