A support of the steel plate conveyor module includes a receiving boom, a steel plate conveyor and a receiving hopper for a mobile crusher. The material is picked up by a dredging shovel and charged into the receiving hopper. It is fed from there by the steel plate conveyor to the crusher, where it is crushed and then discharged via the stacker belt. As the strip-mining progresses, the dredging shovel and the mobile crusher move on together. The steel plate conveyor module is raised for this purpose and the crusher moves into the next position on its caterpillar-type chassis. The steel plate conveyor module is again deposited there, and its rocker pendulum (33) adapts itself automatically to a possible slope of the subsoil (9). If the material picked up by the dredging shovel drops from the top into the receiving hopper, vibrations, which may cause damage to the supporting structure, are caused there by the impact. Hydraulic cylinders (36, 37), each of which absorb the impact forces and introduce them directly into the subsoil (9), are arranged for this reason on both sides of the rocker pendulum (33) between the rocker pendulum (33) and the boom (30) of the steel plate conveyor module. To ensure that the possibility of adapting the rocker pendulum (33) to an uneven subsoil (9) is preserved, the hydraulic cylinders (36, 37) are connected to one another by hydraulic lines (10, 11).
