A medical communications and management system (MCMS) that is operative to compile, store, retrieve and transmit digitized medical information from a variety of medical imaging modalities, as well as digital information such as scanned in images, digital photographs, audio files, and digitized information corresponding to monitored physiological conditions, such as heart rate and the like. The MCMS is further operative to include personal patient identification information, such as retinal scans and fingerprints, and is capable of being archived to thus enable such digitized information to be readily accessed. To that end, it is contemplated that the MCMS of the present invention will be used in connection with an electronic medical record and facilitate compliance with HIPAA.
L'invention porte sur un système de gestion et communication médicale ("medical communications and management system" ou MCMS) qui permet de compiler, stocker, extraire et transmettre des informations médicales numérisées en provenance d'une variété de modalités d'imagerie, de même que des informations numériques telles que celles qui sont saisies par le balayage d'images, de photographies numériques, de fichiers audio, et des informations numérisées correspondant à des états physiologiques surveillés, tels que le rythme cardiaque et analogue. Le système MCMS permet également d'inclure des informations d'identification de patient personnelles, par exemple des empreintes digitales et rétiniennes, qui peuvent être archivées, de manière qu'il offre un accès aisé aux informations numérisées. A cet effet, le système MCMS de l'invention est utilisé en lien avec un dossier médical électronique et facilite la mise en conformité avec les normes HIPAA.
