ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A synchronizer has a 1-field memory to store 1 field of an image signal and a reset signal generating means to adjust a write sync. signal for writing an image signal in the 1-field memory and to output a write reset signal. This reset signal generating means reads a write sync. signal from the 1-field memory and outputs a write reset signal for adjusting a timing for writing according to a read write signal. An image signal is written in the 1-field memory according to a timing determined by the write reset signal which is synchronized with a timing for reading. Thus, inversion of a scanning line can be prevented by a device with a simple configuration.
