A valve prosthesis device is disclosed suitable for implantation in body ducts. The device comprises a support stent, comprised of a deployable construction adapted to be initially crimped in a narrow configuration suitable for catheterization through the body duct to a target location and adapted to be deployed by exerting substantially radial forces from within by means of a deployment device to a deployed state in the target location, and a valve assembly comprising a flexible conduit having an inlet end and an outlet, made of pliant material attached to the support beams providing collapsible slack portions of the conduit at the outlet. The support stent is provided with a plurality of longitudinally rigid support beams of fixed length. When flow is allowed to pass through the valve prosthesis device from the inlet to the outlet, the valve assembly is kept in an open position, whereas a reverse flow is prevented as the collapsible slack portions of the valve assembly collapse inwardly providing blockage to the reverse flow. The device is configured so that retrograde flow will be altered from laminar flow and directed towards the leaflets to effect closing .
L'invention concerne un dispositif prothétique de valve approprié pour être implanté dans des conduits corporels. Ledit dispositif comprend une endoprothèse vasculaire de support, présentant une construction déployable conçue pour être initialement ramassée en une configuration étroite appropriée pour l'insertion au moyen d'un cathéter via le conduit corporel vers un emplacement cible et conçue pour être déployée, par application de forces sensiblement radiales depuis l'intérieur au moyen d'un dispositif de déploiement, en un état déployé dans l'emplacement cible. Ledit dispositif comprend également un ensemble valve présentant un conduit flexible pourvu d'une extrémité d'entrée et d'une extrémité de sortie, ledit ensemble valve étant constitué de matériau souple fixé aux montants de support formant, au niveau de la sortie, des parties de conduit lâches et repliables. L'endoprothèse vasculaire de support présente une pluralité de montants de support longitudinalement rigides de longueur fixe. Lorsque l'écoulement de l'entrée à la sortie est autorisé à travers le dispositif prothétique de valve, l'ensemble valve est maintenu en position ouverte, tandis qu'un écoulement inverse est empêché lorsque les parties lâches et repliables de l'ensemble valve se replient vers l'intérieur, assurant le blocage de l'écoulement inverse. Le dispositif est conçu de sorte qu'un écoulement rétrograde est modifié à partir de l'écoulement laminaire et dirigé vers les valvules afin de permettre la fermeture.
