Dental compositions are provided with a fluoride releasing material that is a metal complex described by the formula M(G)g(F)n or M(G)g(ZF m)n, where M represents an element capable of forming a cationic species and having a valency of 2 or more; G is an organic chelating moiety capable of complexing with the element M; Z is hydrogen, boron, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, antimony, arsenic; F is a fluoride atom; g, m and n are at least 1.

L'invention porte sur des compositions dentaires contenant une substance libérant du fluor, un complexe métallique, répondant à la formule: M(G)g(F)n ou M(G)g(ZFm)n. Dans cette formule, M représente un élément capable de constituer une espèce cationique et possèdent une valence de 2 ou davantage, G représente une fraction chelatante capable d'action complexante avec l'élément M, Z représente un hydrogène, un bore, un azote, un phosphore, un soufre, un antimoine et un arsenic, F représente un atome de fluorure tandis que g, m et n valent au moins 1.
