A closure for a beverage bottle includes a recessed compartment (18) for accommodating a hidden prize or gift therein for promotional purposes. The compartment has an access opening with a snap-fit door (16) therein. When the closure is on the beverage bottle the door can not be opened. However, when the closure is removed from the bottle it may be squeezed to snap open the door and provide access to the compartment to expose the prize or gift.
