An arched doorframe for use within an arched opening in a framed, wallboard-clad wall, available as a prefabricated kit. The arched doorframe supports the arch within a rectangular framed opening wiihout the need for additional framing. The construction kit has a minimum number of pieces and installation does not require covering of gaps with materials which impede hanging of a door within the arched opening.
