When household items such as papers, tins, bottles, etc. are to be re-cycled they are normaly placed curb side in a container commonly referred to as a "Blue Box". Often times during inclement weather conditions the contents of the blue box become saturated by rainfall and blown out of the box by the wind. The scattered contents then becomes litter and raises an environmental issue. This invention is a water resistant fabric cover for the blue box that will contain the contents even when the box has been overloaded with the contents protruding above the top of the box. The cover is held in place with an elastic bungee cord sewn into the hem of the cover. The bungee also attaches the cover to the blue box by extending out from the hem by approximately two feet and being inserted through one of the drain holes in the bottom of the box and tied off.
