A holder for retaining at least one tennis ball in close proximity to a tennis player during the course of a tennis game. The holder comprises a flat rigid body member with at least one aperture for insertion of at least one tennis ball, wherein the wall(s) of aperture(s) constitute the sole support for the inserted tennis ball(s). The holder further includes means for being removably attached to an item worn by a user thereof. This means may constitute an integral holding member and a strap.
