An innerspring mattress having an edge support insert that overlaps the upper and lower border wires of the mattress. The edge support insert has a C-shaped cross-section or the cross-section may gradually thicken from interior comers of the "C" toward the center forming a putative E-shaped cross-section. The edge support may be a continuous unit that is installed around the entire perimeter of the innerspring mattress assembly. The simple cross-section allows efficient extrusion manufacturing and is efficiently installed around the innerspring mattress coil matrix.
L'invention concerne un matelas à ressorts présentant une pièce de maintien des bords qui recouvre les tiges de contour supérieure et inférieure du matelas. Cette pièce de maintien des bords présente une section transversale en C ou qui s'épaissit progressivement depuis des angles intérieurs du "C" vers le centre, de manière à former une section transversale en E putative. Cette pièce de maintien des bords peut être une unité continue installée autour du périmètre total de l'ensemble matelas à ressorts. Grâce à sa section transversale simple, ladite pièce peut être fabriquée par extrusion et installée de manière efficace autour de la matrice hélicoïdale d'un matelas à ressorts.
