FUEL BUNDLE END SUPPORT Abstract of the Invention A nuclear fuel bundle end support is taught. The end support, comprised of a plurality of rings with spokes extending therebetween, provides improved coolant flow while maintaining fuel bundle strength. The spokes of the end support are positioned to extend between a selected two of the rings at a narrowed region of the subchannel system of the bundle. Each spoke intersects the ring at a point distanced from an element weld site.
