The invention relates to a measuring instrument for the measurement of an existing pain or a feeling of nausea of a patient. The measuring instrument induces pain in an arbitrary body part of said patient, by supplying an electrical current. The measuring instrument provides a current increase into said body part, until said induced pain is experienced by the patient as being as great as the existing pain/nausea. The current is supplied from a current source arranged in the measuring instrument via wires (H, I) and electrodes (C, D), said electrodes being applied onto that part of the body in which pain is to be induced. When the pain induced is experienced to be as great as the existing pain/nausea, the body part is removed from the electrodes, whereupon a pain value is registered and shown on a display (F).

L'invention concerne un instrument pour mesurer une douleur ou la sensation de nausée chez un patient. L'instrument de mesure induit une douleur dans une partie arbitraire du corps du patient, en appliquant un courant électrique. L'instrument de mesure permet d'augmenter le courant appliqué à cette partie du corps jusqu'à ce que la douleur induite soit ressentie par le patient comme étant égale à la douleur/nausée existante. Le courant est appliqué depuis une source de courant placée dans l'appareil de mesure, par l'intermédiaire de fils métalliques (H. I) et d'électrodes (C, D), lesquelles sont appliquées sur la partie du corps où l'on veut induire une douleur. Quand la douleur induite est ressentie comme égale à la douleur/sensation de nausée du patient, les électrodes sont détachées du corps et la valeur de la douleur est enregistrée et affichée sur un écran (F).
