ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The power interface is for use in a harsh environment and for generating a power signal which can be supplied to a heating load upon reception of a control signal. The power interface comprises at least one interfacing unit including an opto-coupling device having an input for receiving a signal derived from the control signal; and a power switching device having a triggering gate connected to an output of the opto-coupling device, and an output for generating the power signal, the power interface being casted in a resin material whereby it can be used in a harsh environment.
