ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of insurance rating is provided comprising the steps of inputting to a general purpose computer information related to a risk to be insured, selecting through a procedural language a type of insurance for rating the risk tox be insured, accessing a relational database through a non- procedural language to rate the risk based on the type of insurance selected and the information previously input, and outputting the rating from the relational database. An apparatus for insurance rating is also provided.
