A gas-powered, single-use, needle-less hypodermic jet injection device (10, 210, 410) includes a hand-held injector (12, 212, 412), and a drug injection cartridge (14, 114, 414) which provides a volume of liquid medication to be injected, an injection orifice, and an injection piston. Forceful movement of the injection piston causes an injection jet of medication to be expelled from the injection orifice. The injection device also inlcudes a hermetically sealed gas pressure cartridge (82, 182, 482) which remains sealed until the moment of injection and powers the jet injection after opening of this cartridge.
Ce dispositif d'injection (10, 210, 410) d'un jet hypodermique, sans aiguille, à usage unique et commandé par gaz, comprend un injecteur manuel (12, 212, 412), une cartouche d'injection (14, 114, 414) d'un médicament constituant un volume de médication liquide à injecter, un orifice et un piston d'injection. Un déplacement forcé du piston d'injection provoque l'expulsion d'un jet d'injection de la médication, à partir de l'orifice d'injection. Ce dispositif comprend également une cartouche scellée (82, 182, 482) de gaz sous pression, laquelle reste scellée jusqu'au moment de l'injection, et fournit la puissance nécessaire à l'injection après son ouverture.
