This invention relates to the field of the recovery of methane gas from a coal mine and conventional Natural Gas. More particularly, it involves an apparatus and method for economically recovering methane gas from a coal mine and transporting the methane gas to an end user or other location. The invention further provides an apparatus and method for economically recovering Natural Gas that is stranded due to high impurities that requires processing and/or Natural Gas that is not located near a pipeline. According to a first preferred embodiment of the invention, such methods for recovering and transporting gas comprise (a) transferring gas from a producing well to a first subterranean capacitor and storing the gas in said capacitor and (b) transferring gas from the first subterranean capacitor to a second subterranean capacitor, a pipeline, an end user, a gas processor, or a power plant.
L'invention concerne le domaine de la récupération de méthane gazeux provenant d'une mine de charbon et de gaz naturel conventionnel. L'invention concerne en particulier un appareil et une méthode de récupération économique de méthane gazeux d'une mine de charbon et le transport du méthane gazeux jusqu'à un utilisateur final ou un autre lieu. De plus, l'invention concerne un appareil et une méthode de récupération économique de gaz naturel qui est immobilisé à cause d'une concentration élevée en impuretés et qui requiert un traitement et/ou de gaz naturel qui n'est pas situé près d'un pipeline. Selon un premier mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention, de telles méthodes de récupération et de transport de gaz consistent en les (a) étapes suivantes : transférer du gaz d'un puits de production vers une première zone souterraine d'accumulation et stocker du gaz dans ladite zone d'accumulation et (b) transférer du gaz de la première zone d'accumulation souterraine vers une seconde zone d'accumulation souterraine, un pipeline, un utilisateur final, un système de traitement du gaz, ou une centrale électrique.
