ABSTRACT The invention relates to a moulded article, such as a coil body suitable as an electrical component, having an upper section and at least one lower section of downwardly directed generally conical shape. The article is manufactured from a thermosetting plastic by an injection moulding process and is characterized by the fact that it is provided with a thin tab moulded along the full height of the entire lower section. The invention also relates to an injection mould for manufacturing the article within a cavity defined by the mould. The mould has a lower section equipped with at least one blind cavity which is connected to the mould cavity via a gap running the entire height of the mould cavity. This arrangement allows air trapped in the cavity to escape into the blind cavity and from there to the outside via a venting core. This is not prevented by solidification of the thermosetting plastic as it enters the mould.
