A method and a structure for dividing a door opening such as a conventional garage door opening and allowing for easy installation of both a side mounted swinging door and an overhead type door. A main post is used for both supporting one of the tracks of the overhead door and acting as part of the frame of the swinging door. The post as a specific cross-sectional configuration allowing it to serve its dual purpose. A threshold component is provided for acting both as a threshold for the swinging door and as an anchor for the lower end of the main post. Similarly, a header component is provided for acting both as a header for the swinging door and as an anchor for the upper end of the main post.
Méthode et structure permettant de diviser une ouverture de porte, par exemple une ouverture de porte de garage ordinaire, et d'installer facilement une porte à charnière montée sur le côté et une porte basculante. Un poteau principal sert de support pour l'un des rails de la porte basculante, ainsi que d'élément de cadre pour la porte à charnière. Le poteau a la forme d'une section transversale particulière, ce qui lui permet de remplir ces deux fonctions. Un élément de seuil de porte sert de seuil pour la porte à charnière, ainsi que de point d'ancrage pour l'extrémité inférieure du poteau principal. En outre, un linteau sert à la fois de linteau pour la porte à charnière et de point d'ancrage pour l'extrémité supérieure du poteau principal.
