The present invention relates to a method in connection with serial data, to recognize a frame synchronization pattern, and for the sake of providing a fast and reliable search algorithm especially for V.110 synchronization pattern, the present invention suggests a method characterized by examining two successive bytes by performing a binary AND operation between the first byte and a check byte made up from the value of the second byte, examining if the AND operation is zero for thereby establishing whether said first byte and second byte qualify as candidates for the synchronization pattern, and further verifying said candidates by checking further criteria given by the frame in question.
Cette invention concerne un procédé se rapportant au domaine des données en série, lequel permet de reconnaître un diagramme de synchronisation de trames et d'obtenir en outre un algoritme de recherche rapide et fiable, notamment en ce qui concerne le diagramme de synchronisation V.110. Ce procédé consiste à examiner deux octets successifs en effectuant une opération ET binaire entre le premier octet et un octet de vérification dérivé de la valeur du second octet. On vérifie ensuite si le résultat de l'opération ET est égal à zéro de manière à établir si le premier et le second octets peuvent être considérés comme des candidats pour le diagramme de synchronisation. On vérifie enfin les candidats en vérifiant d'autres critères fournis par la trame en question.
