A method of promoting responsible and accountable driving by displaying a reportable vehicle reference number on a vehicle and providing observers of the vehicle an opportunity to submit reports on the vehicle driver's driving behavior at an Internet location through an Internet connection. The Internet location further provides the capacity for online subscription to the vehicle reporting service and automatic and substantially immediate transmittal of a submitted report to the vehicle owner. Periodic reports and summary reports may also be transmitted to the vehicle owner. Transmittal of the reports may be by email, facsimile, postal carrier, or other appropriate method. A method of providing discounts and promotional incentives is provided whereby vehicle insurance discounts are offered to owners displaying a reportable vehicle reference number and indication of an Internet reporting method on their vehicle.
L'invention concerne un procédé servant à favoriser une conduite responsable et grâce à l'affichage, sur un véhicule, d'un numéro de référence de véhicule, et à la possibilité offerte aux observateurs du véhicule de déposer des témoignages concernant le comportement au volant du conducteur à une adresse Internet par une connexion Internet. L'adresse Internet permet en outre de s'inscrire en ligne au service de dénonciation et de transmettre automatiquement et presque immédiatement un compte rendu soumis au propriétaire du véhicule. Des comptes rendus périodiques et des récapitulatifs peuvent aussi être transmis au propriétaire du véhicule. La transmission des comptes rendus peut être effectuée par courrier électronique, télécopie, courrier postal ou par un autre procédé approprié. Un procédé prévu vise à proposer des rabais sur assurance de véhicule et des primes promotionnelles aux propriétaires qui affichent un numéro de référence de véhicule et indiquent sur leur véhicule un procédé de dénonciation par Internet.
