A biological sample containment system and method are provided that include a container for storing the biological sample and an indicator affixed to the container for displaying at least one measured characteristics of the container or sample, wherein measurement of the characteristic is commenced by activation of the indicator. In another embodiment of the invention, a biological sample containment system and method are provided that include a container for storing the biological sample and a colored scale affixed to the container, wherein the colored scale facilitates identification of at least one characteristic of the biological sample. In yet another embodiment of the invention, a biological sample containment system and method are provided that include a container for collecting a biological sample and a label affixed to the container, wherein information relating to the biological sample or container is situated on the label.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de confinement d'échantillon biologique faisant appel à un contenant destiné au stockage de l'échantillon biologique et à un indicateur fixé sur le contenant pour l'affichage d'au moins une caractéristique mesurée du contenant ou de l'échantillon, la mesure de la caractéristique commençant par l'activation de l'indicateur. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne un système et un procédé de confinement d'échantillon biologique faisant appel à un contenant destiné au stockage de l'échantillon biologique et à une échelle colorée fixée sur le contenant, l'échelle colorée facilitant l'identification d'au moins une caractéristique de l'échantillon biologique. Dans un mode de réalisation différent, l'invention concerne un système et un procédé de confinement d'échantillon biologique faisant appel à un contenant destiné à la collecte d'un échantillon biologique et à une étiquette fixée sur le contenant, des informations relatives à l'échantillon biologique ou au contenant étant présentes sur l'étiquette et au moins une partie desdites informations se trouvant sur une face de l'étiquette qui est fixée sur le contenant.
