A method for the preparation of a nicotine-cellulose combination, the method comprising simultaneous loading of the nicotine on the cellulose and agglomeration of the particles so as to obtain a suitably loaded combination with a mean particle size that is suitable for use e.g. in snuff compositions packed in pouches of gauze or other materials with opening. The invention further relates to the use of such a nicotine-cellulose combination for the preparation of a snuff composition for achievement of a fast onset of action of nicotine after application of the snuff composition to the oral cavity of a subject, wherein the composition has a high release rate so that when subjected to an in vitro dissolution test about 45% or more of the total content of nicotine is released within 30 minutes. Moreover, the invention relates to an improved snuff composition for application to the oral cavity.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de préparation d'une combinaison de nicotine-cellulose, le procédé comportant de façon simultanée le chargement de la nicotine sur la cellulose et l'agglomération des particules de façon à obtenir une combinaison chargée de façon appropriée avec une dimension de particule moyenne qui est appropriée pour une utilisation, par exemple dans des compositions de tabac à priser conditionnées dans des poches de gaze ou autres matériaux avec ouverture. L'invention porte en outre sur l'utilisation d'une telle combinaison de nicotine-cellulose pour la préparation d'une composition de tabac à priser pour obtention d'un début d'action rapide de la nicotine après lapplication de la composition de tabac à priser à la cavité buccale d'un sujet, la composition ayant une vitesse de libération élevée de telle sorte que, lorsqu'elle est soumise à un essai de dissolution in vitro, environ 45 % ou plus du contenu total de nicotine est libéré dans les 30 minutes. De plus, l'invention porte sur une composition de tabac à priser améliorée pour une application à la cavité buccale.
