The present invention proposes a method for constructing a support ring in a curved wall, in particular around an opening in a curved wall of a hot blast stove, wherein the method comprises providing a plurality of standardised wedge-shaped bricks (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22) with side faces (32, 34) having tongue and groove profiles (36, 38) for cooperating with the side faces of the neighbouring bricks, the thickness (T) of the brick in the axial direction being in excess of the desired end thickness (t) of the brick. The method comprises determining the intended location of each individual brick in the curved wall and determining, based on the intended location, the location of a front cut line (56) and a rear cut line (58) for shaping the front and rear faces (24, 26) of the brick. The front and rear faces (24, 26) of the brick are then shaped in accordance with the above determined front and rear cut lines (56, 58) by means of a cutting tool.
La présente invention concerne un procédé destiné à construire un anneau de support dans une paroi courbe, en particulier autour d'une ouverture dans une paroi courbe d'un régénérateur de haut-fourneau. Ledit procédé consiste à munir une pluralité de briques circulaires standardisées (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22) de faces latérales (32, 34) présentant des profilés de type languette et rainure (36, 38) destinés à coopérer avec les faces latérales des briques avoisinantes, l'épaisseur (T) de la brique dans la direction axiale étant supérieure à l'épaisseur finale souhaitée (t) de la brique. Le procédé consiste à déterminer l'emplacement prévu pour chaque brique individuelle dans la paroi courbe et à déterminer, d'après l'emplacement prévu, l'emplacement d'une ligne de coupe avant (56) et d'une ligne de coupe arrière (58), afin de former les faces avant et arrière (24, 26) de la brique. Les faces avant et arrière (24, 26) de la brique sont ensuite formées conformément aux lignes de coupe avant et arrière (56, 58) définies ci-dessus, au moyen d'un outil de coupe.
