An objective assembly for use with a microscope Is provided The objective has an optical axis that permits an image beam to be emitted through the objective toward the eyepiece of a microscope A mirror is positioned at an angle to the optical axis of the objective A laser assembly is positioned on a first side of the mirror for directing a laser beam toward said mirror so that the energy is reflected off the mirror and through the objective in a direction that is substantially aligned with the optical axis of the objective An indicator assembly including a source of light is positioned with the light incident on the other side of the mirror to reflect a beam of light in a direction opposite to the direction of the laser beam to provide an optical representation of the position of the beam being emitted by the objective
La présente invention concerne un ensemble objectif destiné à être utilisé avec un microscope. Ledit objectif possède un axe optique qui permet l'émission d'un faisceau image à travers l'objectif en direction de l'oculaire d'un microscope. Un miroir est en position inclinée par rapport à l'axe optique de l'objectif. Un ensemble laser est disposé sur un premier côté du miroir pour diriger un faisceau laser vers ledit miroir de sorte que l'énergie est réfléchie par le miroir et renvoyée à travers l'objectif dans une direction qui est sensiblement alignée avec l'axe optique de l'objectif. Un ensemble indicateur comprenant une source de lumière est disposé de telle sorte que la lumière vient frapper l'autre côté du miroir pour réfléchir un faisceau de lumière dans une direction opposée à la direction du faisceau laser afin de fournir une représentation optique de la position du faisceau émis par l'objectif.
