The present invention is a laminate comprising: a) a first substrate comprising a first substantially linear olefin copolymer; b) an adhesion promoter superposing the first substrate, which adhesion promoter comprises a grafted copolymer of a second substantially linear olefin copolymer; c) a tackifying resin admixed with the adhesion promoter, or an adhesive superposing the adhesion promoter or admixed therewith; and d) a second substrate adhesively bonded to the first substrate. The present invention is also an adhesion promoter comprising a mixture of a copolymer derived from a C2-C20 olefin and an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or acid anhydride, and a polar group functionalized substantially linear olefin copolymer or a polar group functionalized copolymer of ethylene and a C3-C20 .alpha.-olefin having a narrow molecular weight distribution, a random distribution of comonomer units along the polymer backbone, and a homogeneity index of at least 75. The laminate and adhesion promoter of the present invention are useful for a variety of end-use applications, including bathroom scales, shoe soles, carpet-backing, and automobile windshields.
Cette invention se rapporte à un stratifié comprenant: (a) un premier substrat comportant un premier copolymère d'oléfine essentiellement linéaire; (b) un promoteur d'adhésion se superposant au premier substrat et comportant un copolymère greffé d'un second copolymère d'oléfine essentiellement linéaire; (c) une résine gluante mélangée au promoteur d'adhésion ou un adhésif se superposant au promoteur d'adhésion et mélangé à lui; et (d) un second substrat collé au premier substrat. Cette invention se rapporte également à un promoteur d'adhésion comprenant un mélange d'un copolymère dérivé d'une oléfine C2-C20 et d'un acide carboxylique éthyléniquement insaturé ou d'un anhydride de cet acide, ainsi qu'un copolymère d'oléfine essentiellement linéaire fonctionnalisé par groupes polaires ou un copolymère d'éthylène fonctionnalisé par groupes polaires et une alpha -oléfine C3-C20 présentant une répartition étroite des poids moléculaires, une répartition aléatoire des unités comonomères le long du squelette polymère, et un indice d'homogénéité d'au moins 75. Ce stratifié et ce promoteur d'adhésion sont utiles dans une grande variété d'applications finales, telles que pèse-personne, semelles de chaussures, dossiers de revêtements de sols et pare-brise d'automobiles.
