The present invention relates to methods for broad spectrum prevention and treatment of viral respiratory infections. In particular, the present invention relates to methods for preventing, treating or ameliorating symptoms associated with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), parainfluenza virus (PIV), and/or human metapneumovirus (hMPV) infection, the methods comprising administering to a subject an effective amount of one or more anti-RSV-antigen antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof, one or more anti-hMPV-antigen antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof, and/or one or more anti-PIV- antigen antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof. In certain embodiments, a certain serum titer of the anti-RSV-antigen antibodies, andt- PIV-antigen antibodies, and/or anti-hMPV-antigen antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof is achieved in said subject. In certain specific embodiments, the subject is human and, preferably, the anti-RSV-antigen antibody, anti-PIV-antigen antibody, and/or anti-hMPV-antigen antibodies are human or humanized. The present invention relates further to compositions comprising the anti-RSV-antigen antibodies, anti-PIV-antigen antibodies, and/or anti-hMPV-antigen antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof. The present invention also relates to detectable or diagnostic compositions comprising the one or more anti-RSV-antigen antibodies, anti-PIV-antigen antibodies, and/or anti-hMPV-antigen antibodies or antigen binding fragments thereof and methods for detecting or diagnosing RSV, PIV, and/or hMPV infection utilizing the compositions.
La présente invention concerne des méthodes de prévention et de traitement à large spectre d'infections virales respiratoires. En particulier, la présente invention concerne des méthodes de prévention, de traitement ou de correction de symptômes associés à des affections dues au virus respiratoire syncytial (RSV), au virus parainfluenza (PIV), et/ou au métapneumovirus humain (MPVh), les méthodes consistant à administrer à un sujet une dose efficace d'un ou de plusieurs anticorps anti-antigènes de RSV ou leurs fragments de fixation d'antigène, un ou plusieurs anticorps anti-antigènes de MPVh ou leurs fragments de fixation d'antigènes, et/ou un ou plusieurs anticorps anti-antigènes de PIV ou leurs fragments de fixation d'antigènes. Dans certains modes de réalisation, un certain titre de sérum des anticorps anti-antigènes du RSV, d'anticorps anti-antigènes de PIV et/ou d'anticorps anti-antigènes de MPVh ou leurs fragments de fixation d'antigènes, est obtenu chez ledit sujet. Dans certains modes de réalisation spécifiques, le sujet est humain et, de préférence, l'anticorps anti-antigènes de RSV, l'anticorps anti-antigènes de PIV et/ou les anticorps anti-antigènes de MPVh sont humains ou humanisés. La présente invention concerne également des compostions contenant les anticorps anti-antigènes de RSV, les anticorps anti-antigènes de PIV et/ou les anticorps anti-antigènes de MPVh ou leurs fragments de fixation d'antigènes. La présente invention concerne également des composition détectables ou diagnostiques comprenant un ou plusieurs anticorps anti-antigènes de RSV, anticorps anti-antigènes de PIV et/ou anticorps anti-antigènes de MPVh ou bien leurs fragments de fixation d'antigènes, et des méthodes de détection ou de diagnostic d'infections à RSV, PIV et/ou MPVh utilisant les compositions.
