The hybrid promoters of the invention provide highly efficient promoters containing (1) an enhancer protein target module and (2) an RNA polymerase initiation module. According to the invention, there is further provided expression vectors providing such hybrid promoters, hosts stably transformed with such expression vectors, and methods for producing the genetically engineered or recombinant protein using such hosts.
