For decreasing the corrosivity of a water-containing corrosive crude oil mixture, a composition capable of dispersing water in the crude oil is included in the crude oil mixture, such that in use the amount of water at a surface between the crude oil and a corrosion-sensitive material is decreased. Compositions to be used for decreasing the corrosivity of a water-containing corrosive crude oil mixture and applications of the proposed anti-corrosion measures are also described.
