A fiber structure is made by multilayer three--dimensional weaving with thickness in a direction perpendicular to the warp direction (C) and the weft direction (T) that varies along the warp direction while conserving the same number of warp yarns woven at all points of the fiber structure along the warp direction. At a transition in the warp direction from a first portion of the fiber texture to a second portion of the fiber texture having a thickness greater than the thickness of the first portion, the number of warp planes is decreased and the number of layers of warp yarns is increased without changing the number of warp yarns, by making up at least one warp plane (P'1, ...) in the second portion using warp yarns coming from at least two different warp planes (P1, P2, ...) in the first portion.

Une structure fibreuse est réalisée par tissage tridimensionnel multicouches avec une épaisseur, dans une direction perpendiculaire aux directions chaîne (C) et trame (T), qui évolue le long de la direction chaîne tout en conservant un même nombre de fils de chaîne tissés à tout niveau de la structure fibreuse le long de la direction chaîne. Lors d'une transition en direction chaîne d'une première partie de la texture fibreuse à une deuxième partie de la texture fibreuse ayant une épaisseur plus grande que celle de la première partie, on diminue le nombre de plans de chaîne et on augmente le nombre de couches de fils de chaîne sans changer le nombre de fils de chaîne, en constituant au moins un plan de chaîne (Pl,...) dans la deuxième partie avec des fils de chaîne issus d'au moins deux plans de chaîne différents (Pl, P2,...) dans la première partie.
