A communication system (100) and method are configured to perform context sensitive transfers of a communication session. In one embodiment of the invention, a communication session between a calling party (102) is transferred from the receiving party (108) to a third party (110) where the dialog continues between the calling party and the third party. In another embodiment of the invention, an automated application intercepts messages of a communication session, processes the messages, and responds to what was processed in real-time while the communication session between a calling party and a receiving party continues. In a further embodiment of the invention, a communication system sends an event notification to interested parties and allows a subsequent communication session to be initiated from the delivered notification.

Cette invention concerne un système (100) et un procédé de communication conçus pour exécuter des transferts sensibles au contexte d'une session de communication. Dans un mode de réaIisation, une session de communication entre une partie appelante (102) est transférée de la partie réceptrice (108) à une tierce partie (110), le dialogue se poursuivant entre cette tierce partie et la partie appelante. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, une application automatique intercepte des messages de la session de communication, traite ces messages et répond à ce qui a été traité en temps réel pendant que la session de communication entre la partie appelante et la partie réceptrice se poursuit.
