An invention for the filtering, sorting and analysis of microseis- micity induced during production of fluid resources from their reservoirs which allows direct 4 dimensional measurements of all or many of the components of the permeability fields as well as other petrophysical rock properties important to reser- voir analysis and monitoring. The seismicity associated with the per- meability field is identified by its spatial and temporal location in two general conoidal volumes (12), sym- metrically disposed about the injec- tion point (14) in any well being used for this purpose. The seis- micity is generated by fractures hy- draulically linked to the injection well and comprises the permeabil- ity field associated with that well. Mapping of the permeability field identified by this means can also be used for guiding the placement of subsequent infill, development and injection wells. In addition by per- mitting the active deformation field to be seen, it allows potential haz- ards to the field infrastructure to be recognized. By predicting the fluid paths, the invention forms an important adjunct to 4D active seismic analysis which monitors the migration of fluid fronts.
L'invention concerne le filtrage, le tri et l'analyse de la microsismicité induite pendant la production de ressources de fluides depuis leurs réservoirs, ce qui permet d'effectuer des mesures quadridimensionnelles directes de la totalité ou d'une grande partie des composantes du champ de perméabilité, ainsi que d'autres propriétés pétrophysiques de la roche présentant une importance pour l'analyse et le contrôle du réservoir. On identifie la sismicité associée au champ de perméabilité par son emplacement spatial et temporel dans deux volumes conoïdes (12) placés de façon symétrique autour du point d'injection (14) dans tout puits mis en application dans ce but. La sismicité est générée par des fractures présentant une communication hydraulique avec le puits d'injection et comprend le champ de perméabilité associé à ce puits. On peut également utiliser la cartographie du champ de perméabilité identifié de cette manière afin de guider le positionnement de puits de remplissage, de développement et d'injection ultérieurs. Etant donné, de plus, qu'elle autorise la visualisation du champ de déformation active, elle permet de reconnaître les risques potentiels que court l'infrastructure du champ. La prédiction de la trajectoire des fluides fait de l'invention un complément important à une analyse sismique active quadridimensionnelle qui contrôle la migration des fronts de fluides.
