A molecular complex comprising a gene encoding interferon releasably linked to a conjugate of a nucleic acid binding agent and a ligand which binds to a component on the surface of a cell. In a preferred enbodiment, the gene encodes human IFN-.alpha., IFN-.beta., or IFN-.gamma.. The complex can be used to obtain targeted expression of interferon in selected cells either in vivo or in vitro.

La présente invention concerne un complexe moléculaire comprenant un gène codant l'interféron, lequel interféron est lié de façon libérable à un conjugué formé d'un agent de liaison d'acide nucléique et d'un ligand se liant à un composant existant sur la surface d'une cellule. Selon une réalisation préférée, le gène code les interférons .alpha., .beta. ou .gamma. d'origine humaine. Ce complexe convient particulièrement à l'obtention in vivo ou in vitro d'une expression ciblée de l'interféron dans des cellules sélectionnées.
