OXIDATION INHIBITED FLUID COMPOSITIONS AND A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION THEREOF ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Fluid compositions useful to serve as oxidation inhibited functional fluids, and a process for the preparation thereof, are provided. Such fluid compositions comprise a colloidal dispersion of an aromatic ether represented by the formula Image wherein R1, R2, and R3 independently are phenyl, biphenyl, and terphenyl and n is an integer of from zero (0) to 5, and an oxidation inhibiting amount of an alkali metal salt of oxalic acid.
