The invention provides the use of Hepatitis A virus capsid, or a mucosally immunogenic fragment or epitope thereof, for the manufacture of a mucosal vaccine composition for administration to a mucosal surface of a patient to induce production of serum Immunoglobulin G antibody against Hepatitis A. Preferably the vaccine composition is administered by the intranasal route.

L'invention se rapporte à l'utilisation du capside du virus de l'hépatite A, d'un fragment immunogène pour muqueuse ou d'un épitope de celui-ci, dans la fabrication d'une composition vaccinale administrée sur une muqueuse d'un patient afin de stimuler la production d'anticorps sérique de type immonoglobuline G contre l'hépatite A. On administre ce vaccin de préférence par voie nasale.
