A tape measure housing has first and second sidewalls and a peripheral wall. A metal post extends between the first and second sidewalls and includes an elongate column portion disposed along an axis and a base portion. The base portion includes a plurality of ribs extending generally normal to the axis. The column portion includes a slot. A fastener extends through the first sidewall and mates to the column portion. The second sidewall includes a boss having a recess configured to accept the ribs such that the material forming the boss interstitially interengages with the ribs. A fastener extends through the second sidewall and mates to the base portion. The anchoring portion of the post may include a non-circular flange extending generally normal to the axis, with the recess being configured to accept the flange.
L'invention concerne un logement de mesure de bande présentant des première et seconde parois et une paroi périphérique. Un montant métallique s'étend entre les première et seconde parois latérales et comprend une partie de colonne allongée disposée le long d'un axe et d'une partie de base. Cette partie de base comporte une pluralité de nervures généralement perpendiculaires à l'axe. Ladite partie de colonne présente une fente. Un dispositif d'attache s'étend à travers la première paroi latérale et correspond à la partie de colonne. La seconde paroi latérale comprend un bossage pourvu d'un évidement conçu pour loger les nervures, de telle manière que la matière formant le bossage rentre en contact au niveau interstitiel avec les nervures. Un dispositif d'attache s'étend à travers la seconde paroi latérale et correspond à la partie de base. La partie d'ancrage du montant peut posséder un rebord non circulaire s'étendant généralement perpendiculairement à l'axe, le logement étant élaboré pour loger le rebord.
