An appliance inlet for vehicles, especially cars, comprises a contact part or plug (P) which can be connected with an appliance cable (L) in the vehicle and a mounting device for mounting the plug (P) on to a mounting surface (M) in the vehicle. When mounting, the contact part or the plug (P) is attached through a mounting hole in the mounting surface (M) and is locked against this by means of the mounting part (7) which is designed as an internally threaded housing which engages with the external threading on a plug housing (11) on the plug (P), with the result that the appliance inlet is rigidly secured to the mounting surface and with its opening substantially in alignment with the outside thereof, the opening being covered in a known manner with a watertight, self-closing cap (1). The interior of the contact section (4) which contains contact pins (8) in the plug (P), is connected via drainage slots (12) incised in a wall (4d) of the contact section (4) through the mounting surface (M) with drainage slots (13) in the mounting housing (7), with the result that the interior of the contact section (4F) is drained according to regulations into the outside of the appliance inlet. The appliance inlet according to the invention is arranged to receive a socket (S) from an external power source in order to provide charging current for the vehicle or power for an engine or compartment heater when the vehicle is at rest.
L'invention concerne un élément de couplage d'appareil pour véhicules, en particulier pour automobiles, comprenant une pièce ou une fiche de contact (P) pouvant être raccordée à un câble d'appareil (L) dans le véhicule et un dispositif de montage pour le montage de la fiche (P) sur une surface de montage (M) dans le véhicule. Lors du montage, la pièce ou la fiche de contact (P) est fixée à travers un orifice de montage dans la surface de montage (M) et est bloquée contre celle-ci par une pièce de montage (7) conçue sous forme d'un boîtier à filetage interne qui vient en contact avec le filetage externe sur un boîtier de fiche (11) sur la fiche (P), ce qui permet de fixer solidement l'élément de couplage d'appareil à la surface de montage, son ouverture étant pratiquement alignée avec sa partie extérieure, et l'ouverture étant recouverte, de façon connue, par un capot (1) autoserrant, étanche à l'eau. L'intérieur de la partie de contact (4), qui comporte des broches de contact (8) dans la fiche (P), est reliée, par des fentes d'évacuation (12) incisées dans la paroi (4d) de la partie de contact (4) à travers la surface de montage (M), à des fentes d'évacuation (13) dans le boîtier de montage (7), ce qui permet de créer une évacuation à l'intérieur de la partie de contact (4F), conformément aux réglementations, vers l'extérieur de l'élément de couplage d'appareil. L'élément de couplage d'appareil selon l'invention est conçu pour recevoir une prise (S) provenant d'un source d'énergie externe, afin de fournir soit un courant de charge pour le véhicule soit de l'énergie pour un dispositif de chauffage du moteur ou de l'habitacle, lorsque le véhicule est à l'arrêt.
