An apparatus for withdrawing a tissue specimen (10) being held by a grasping instrument through an endoscope includes an endoscope having an endoscopic shaft( 12) with proximal (15) and distal (13) ends and a lumen (17) extending therebetween. The apparatus (10) also includes first (35) and second (65) hoop- like support members which are selectively slideable within the lumen (917) from a first position to at least one second position. Each of the hoop members (35, 65) includes a diameter which is variable from a first diameter to at least one different diameter. The apparatus (10) also includes a pouch (40) having first (39) and second (41) ends which attach to respective first (35) and second (65) hoop members. The pouch (40) defines a container therein for retaining the tissue specimen. A pair of drawstrings (30) are attached to the first (39) and second (41) ends of the pouch, respectively, and are remotely operable to close the ends about the tissue specimen.
La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant de retirer un échantillon de tissu qui est maintenu par un instrument de saisie au moyen d'un endoscope. Cet appareil comprend un endoscope ayant une tige endoscopique dotée d'une extrémité proximale et d'une extrémité distale entre lesquelles s'étend une lumière. L'appareil comprend également un premier et un second élément de support de type anneau qui peuvent coulisser sélectivement à l'intérieur de la lumière d'une première position à au moins une seconde position. Chacun des éléments anneau présente un diamètre qui est variable d'un premier diamètre à au moins un second diamètre différent. L'appareil comprend également une poche ayant une première et une seconde extrémité qui sont attachées à un premier et à un second élément anneau respectif. La poche définit un contenant permettant le stockage de l'échantillon de tissu. Deux cordons de serrage sont fixés à la première et à la seconde extrémité de la poche, respectivement, et ils peuvent être actionnés à distance pour fermer les extrémités autour de l'échantillon de tissu.
