A drive head assembly for use to fluid sealingly rotate a rod extending down a well, comprising a housing having upper and lower openings for receiving the rod therethrough; a rotatable sleeve adapted to concentrically receive a portion of the rod therethrough, the sleeve being rotatably mounted in the housing and having an upper and passing through the upper opening to extend outwardly of the housing; a prime mover drivingly connected to the sleeve for rotation thereof; means disposed on the upper end of the sleeve for drivingly connecting the sleeve to the rod; and seal means within the sleeve to prevent the escape of well fluids, wherein the means for drivingly connecting the sleeve to the rod are removable from the upper end of the sleeve for servicing of the seal means without removal of the drive head assembly from the well.
Une tête d'entraînement destinée à faire pivoter une tige avec un joint d'étanchéité allant jusqu'à un puits, comportant un carter avec des ouvertures supérieures et inférieures pour recevoir la tige; un manchon rotatif adapté pour y recevoir concentriquement une partie de la tige, le manchon étant articulé dans le carter et ayant une partie supérieure, passant par l'ouverture supérieure pour s'étendre vers l'extérieur du carter, un appareil moteur connecté pour commander le manchon en rotation; des moyens disposés sur l'extrémité supérieure du manchon pour relier en commande le manchon à la tige; et des moyens d'étanchéité à l'intérieur du manchon pour empêcher la fuite des fluides du puits, dans lequel les moyens de connexion du manchon et de la tige sont amovibles à partir de l'extrémité supérieure du manchon pour la maintenance des moyens d'étanchéité sans retrait de la tête d'entraînement du puits.
