18 A B S T R A C T POLISHING MACHINE It is designed to carry out polishing operations at marginal floor areas, close to walls, which are difficult for conventional machines to reach, and skirting boards, which the said machines cannot reach. It is to this end provided with a rolling platform (1) upon which a frame (5) is mounted containing the unit driving the machine, which comprises a motor (6) which through a set of pulleys (8) and (10) transmits movement to a shaft (11) that is considerably displaced downwards, ending in the relevant polishing head (12), in such a way that the tool associated to such head (12) is capable of falling axially upon the skirting board and radially upon the floor, the said drive shaft (11) being transversely displaceable within the general context of the machine.
