A vibrator of a vibratory gyroficope comprises a main arm having a base part and at least one bending-vibration piece extending from the base part in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the base part and a fixing part for fixing one end of the base part, and the base part and the bending-vibration piece are formed so as to extend substantially in a specified plane. Preferably, at the opposite side to one end of the base part, a projection projecting from the bending-vibration piece is provided, or at least a pair of resonant arms resonating with vibration of the base part, said pair of resonant arms projecting from the fixing part are provided. Thanks to this, it has been possible to detect a turning angular rate in a sufficiently high accuracy without providing a projection which has a certain weight and extends from the vibrator toward the axis of turning even in case of arranging the vibrator so that the vibration arm of the vibrator extends perpendicularly to the axis of turning.
Vibrateur de gyroscope vibrant comportant un bras principal muni d'une base et d'au moins une pièce déformable par vibration qui part de la base en faisant un angle avec l'axe de la base, ainsi que d'une pièce de fixation destinée à l'une des extrémités de la base; la base et la pièce déformable par vibration s'inscrivent par leur forme dans un seul plan. On préfère qu'un élément soit disposé en saillie sur la pièce déformable par vibration, du côté opposé à l'une des extrémités de la base, ou, du moins, que deux bras résonnants, conçus pour entrer en résonance avec la vibration de la base, soient placés en saillie sur la pièce de fixation. De cette manière, on est en mesure de détecter une vitesse angulaire de virage avec précision sans qu'il soit nécessaire de placer un élément saillant d'un certain poids sur le vibrateur de ce dispositif suivant l'axe de virage, même lorsque ce vibrateur est placé de telle sorte que son bras vibrant se trouve dans un axe perpendiculaire à l'axe de virage.
