The present invention relates to a drilling tool for percussive drilling by means of a top hammer unit, which unit gives compressive pulses. The tool comprises at least one drill tube (12) and a drill bit (11), which cooperates via a connection. The drill bit comprises a bit head (13) provided with crushing means (15) and a shank (17). A shoulder (20) is provided in connection with the bit head, said bit portion having a first abutment surface (21) facing towards a free end of the tube. The free end of the tube facing towards the drill bit is povided with a second abutment surface (23), said top hammer unit being provided to transfer compressive pulses to the tube. Each compressive pulse is transferred to the drill bit via the impact surfaces (21, 23). The tube and the drill bit comprise cooperating device (19, 24, 25) for driving and retaining. The tool is defined by that it has a relation between the length of the shank and the length of the bit head that is 5 or more. The present invention further relates to a method, an intermediate portion as well as a drill bit for percussive drilling.

L'invention concerne un outil de forage servant à effectuer un forage par percussion au moyen d'un ensemble marteau de tête produisant des impulsions compressives. Cet outil comprend au moins un tube (12) et une mèche (11) coopérant par l'intermédiaire d'un accouplement. La mèche comprend une tête (13) pourvue de moyens d'écrasement (15) et une tige (17). Un épaulement (20) est situé par rapport à la tête, ladite partie de mèche possédant une première surface de butée (21) tournée vers une extrémité libre du tube. Cette extrémité libre du tube tournée vers la mèche est pourvue d'une deuxième surface de butée (23), ledit ensemble marteau de tête étant conçu pour transférer les impulsions compressives au tube. Chaque impulsion compressive est transférée à la mèche par l'intermédiaire des surfaces d'impact (21, 23). Le tube et la mèche comprennent des éléments coopérants (19, 24, 25) servant à entraîner et à retenir. L'outil est caractérisé par le fait qu'il présente un rapport entre la longueur de la tige et la longueur de la tête de la mèche égal ou supérieur à 5. L'invention concerne, de plus, un procédé, une partie intermédiaire, ainsi qu'une mèche de forage par percussion.
