A method and system for registration of a sensing device for use with a computer system. The method includes providing a printed registration form including registration information and coded data thereon, the coded data including an indication of an identity of the form and at least one reference point on the form. The method also includes receiving in the computer system indicating data from a sensing device, the indicating data including information regarding an identity of the sensing device, the identity of the form and at least one action of the sensing device in relation to the form generated by the sensing device using at least some of the coded data. A correspondence is derived, from the indicating data, between a registered user of the computer system and the identity of the sensing device. Registration data associating an identity of the registered user with the identity of the sensing device is then stored in the computer system for later use.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système d'enregistrement d'un dispositif de détection destiné à s'utiliser avec un système informatique. Le procédé consiste à prendre un formulaire d'enregistrement imprimé comportant des données d'enregistrement et des données codées, les données codées comprenant une indication d'identification du formulaire et au moins un point de référence sur le formulaire. Le procédé consiste également à recevoir dans le système informatique des données indicatives provenant d'un dispositif de détection, les données indicatives comprenant des informations concernant : une caractéristique du dispositif de détection, l'identification du formulaire et au moins une action du dispositif de détection en rapport avec le formulaire générée par le dispositif de détection par utilisation d'au moins quelques unes des données codées. Une correspondance est dérivée, à partir des données d'indication, entre un utilisateur enregistré du système informatique et la caractéristique du dispositif de détection. Les données d'enregistrement associant une identification de l'utilisateur enregistré et la caractéristique du dispositif de détection sont ensuite mémorisées dans le système informatique en vue d'une utilisation ultérieure.
